Frances Glessner Lee
Frances Glessenor Lee was a housewife in the 30's who became fascinated with police crime scene analysis and created the nutshell dioramas. She relates to my work, because i wanted to expand on the narrative from my installation panels, as a story. Her dioramas are so detailed and intricate, and that level of details relates to my own practice.

Dr Marianne Wilde
I saw Dr Marianne Wildes work at the Hatton Gallery in Newcastle. I like the idea of xrays and MRI's being art, the human body is beautiful in so many ways and using the body structure to create art from her work is amazing. I related this to my own practice, by expanding on the idea of domestic violence victims needing health care, specifically for broken bones.

Micheal W Streed

Mike Streed is a Forensics sketch artist who creates forensic art for law enforcement in America. His practice relates and inspired mine through the idea that art can be used practical to assist law enforcement, or to raise awareness.

The definition of drawing in my own practice?
I use drawing very loosely in my own practice. Drawing is a basic outline, a rough sketch. I tend to draw the idea or concept in my mind, rather than committing to pencil to paper. Drawing does not have to be, in my mind, an image on paper. You can draw an idea using words, keep it filed away in your imagination.
